Dr Shammi Rouf
Shammi graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2005. After completing Vocational Training, she spent a year as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, gaining invaluable experience in oral surgery and managing complex medical conditions that are not usually encountered in general practice. During this time, she passed the examinations to become a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
She was awarded a prize by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for the best poster presentation. This featured in an article in the British Dental Journal.
The years following were spent in general dental practice refining and improving her general dentistry. Shammi is a certified Invisalign provider since 2008 and enjoys Aesthetic Dentistry.
Having a keen interest in teaching fellow junior dentists, she worked as an Educational Supervisor training dental graduates up to the standards expected by the GDC.
Since 2018 Shammi has been placing and restoring dental implants of the world renowned Straumann brand. She is also a member of the International Team for Implantology and attends regular study clubs to keep abreast of the continuous developments in this dynamic field. She is currently completing a Master of Science degree in Dental Implants at the University of Salford.
When not at work or studying, Shammi is busy raising her children. In her free time, she loves to travel, go on long hikes, indulge her passion for reading books of all genres and drink copious quantities of coffee!
